Similar Indie/punk sounding songs?
I was wondering if anyone knew of any underground or indie/punk pop songs that sound similar toWeb in Front by Archers of Loaf
Bells and Hammers by The Kidcrash (on the This is Indie Rock V1 album)
AFK by Pinback
Never Meant by American Football
Somerset by the Rum Diary
Whats my age again by Blink-182
stacies mom by fountains of wayne
As you can see I like the indie rock songs with punk sounding guitar rifts. If you guys could tell me some lesser know songs by NON-mainstream artists please, that would be great. The best songs are by artists most people have never heard of lol. And if you could stay away from listing songs by the bands I've already listed that would be sweet as well. Thanks !
Question #10:

In Pirates of Caribbean 1, how did Jack Sparrow know that Bootstrap's son would be significant?
When Jack is lying in prison, he deduces that Will is Bootstrap Bill's son. He recognizes that having Will in tow might give him the leverage he needs over Barbossa to get his ship back. He agrees to help Will, and plans to trade Will's blood for the Black Pearl. But the timeline leading up to this moment is as follows:
Barbossa mutinies against Jack and leaves him on Rum Island ->
The pirates get the treasure and become cursed ->
Bootstrap sends a coin away to Will ->
Bootstrap is thrown overboard and lost in the sea ->
Jack escapes Rum Island
So, if Jack was on Rum Island when Bill was thrown overboard, how did he know that Bootstrap's blood was the one thing preventing the curse on the Black Pearl from being lifted?
So to repeat the question, (since the crew was cursed *after* Jack was marooned - yes, thank you so much for those of you who pointed out this obvious fact) how did Jack know that Will would be needed to break the curse?
And since I watched "Dead Man's Chest" last night, I got the answer:
Jack tells Davy Jones that he was captain of the Pearl for only 2 of his 13 years. So he spent about 10 years trying to get off Rum Island and get the Pearl back. Sailors love to tell stories, and Jack undoubtedly heard rumours about Bootstrap's fate over the years. He would have figured it out.
So far, no one's given a Best Answer yet, but if anyone wants some easy points, just repeat back what I wrote up there...

Smoked pot for the first time last night. Was my experience normal?
Background: I smoked for the first time last night. I'm a sophomore in college. I was at a friend's house party and he asked if anyone wanted to smoke, which I decided I did, and I wasn't very drunk. The only recent alcohol I had had was most of a beer. Earlier however, I had a drink with tequila and two sips of banana rum. We (a good friend of mine, a girl I semi-knew, the host, and his friend) went into the host's room and took hits from a big bong. Didn't get anything the first time (that's what they said) so they gave me a hit which I held in. It didn't burn like I expected because there was ice in the bong, I think that helped.Actual experience: First, everything became really slow. While I was watching my friends play pong, I felt like my shoulders were moving in a circle very slowly. I tried to control it because I didn't want to look high. I followed my friends around pretty closely to make sure I didn't lose them and pretty soon the ones that weren't high were standing in front of us trying to get us to do/say stupid stuff as we sat on the floor. I felt like, "I know what you're up to, you can't make be look stupid!". Later on, as it took even more effect (I assume), I felt like a magnet being pulled, then leaden and heavy. I was a little freaked out and very anxious to know how long it would last, because I wanted it to be over. It was the longest 2 hours of my life and I still feel kind of high. I smoked at around 1, got home and went to bed at 3, and now it's almost 9. It was extremely hard to text or remember my boyfriend's number to so that my friend could help me text him that I was home safe (before I really was). I remember acting like a mom, trying to get our group home from the party (two drunk people leading two high people - and the high people were more effective at continuing to move!)
There was more, but I don't think I can write anymore because I still feel high-ish.

Question #19:
Is Amman worth a visit if going to Jordan?
Hi there,Among the many travel ideas I have for next year is to go to Jordan, especially as I want to see Petra and the Red Sea among other things.
I am aware that most of the main sites can be done as day trips from Aqaba and as I try to avoid connecting flights if I can, I was looking at the possibility of flying from Dublin to Sharm El Sheikh and getting the ferry from Nuweba to Aqaba. Due to the weekly charter nature of the slights to Sharm, I'd only really have time to stay in Aqaba and do Wadi Rum, snorkelling and the other trips mentioned above unless I did a very rushed trip to Amman and fly back to Sharm with Royal Jordanian.
But if Amman is well worth a visit, I'd have no probs getting the connecting flight there. Having read about it, it reminds me of Jerusalem without the Old City part and that was a place that I loved.
What do you all think?
Thanks in advance,
Brian.
